Medtronic Senior Logistics Analyst in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Fully responsible to directly manage transportation partners for inbound freights from overseas suppliers, outbound deliveries to local customers and return management from the market. Being a control tower to ensure seamless linkage between transportation partners and warehouse team & also being communication liaison with commercial teams for track & trace visibilities. Take a critical role of developing strategies, innovations and best in class solutions to improve supply chain efficiency, cost of service and provide our customs with the best experience possible. Lead partner selection tenders to achieve & maintain the best balance between service and cost. Work closely with internal stakeholders like Commercial, Customer Service, Warehouse, Trade Compliance, IT, Quality Assurance (QA), Finance teams.

A Day in The Life

  • Set up and maintain operating mechanisms to manage transportation partners which includes but not limited to;

  • Write and update SOP/WI & provide trainings to partners.

  • Chair weekly & monthly review meetings.

  • Monitor KPIs & take necessary improvement actions as needed.

  • Initiate Supplier CAPAs as and when required.

  • Monthly KPI reporting

  • Communication window to internal stakeholders for transportation related queries

  • Cost control

  • Cost monitoring against budget and initiate root cause analysis if gap is observed

  • Spot quote from partners for ad-hoc cases like large capital delivery

  • Supplier invoice verifications

  • Owner and superuser of internal transportation management systems

  • Master data maintenance

  • Country representative to global/regional projects

  • Partner selection and contracting

  • Actively search new partnership opportunities in the marketplace

  • Lead local transportation RFQ

  • Participate global/regional RFQ as local SME

  • Work closely with QA/RA, legal, Trade compliance teams to ensure any process change meets regulatory and quality policy requirements before presenting it in a business case

  • Keep abreast of industry trends, provider capabilities, technology capabilities, best practice across various industries and conduct proof of concept analysis that they can bring value to the MDT organization

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
