We are seeking for a seasoned leader to take on the role as Sales Lead for Emerging and Digital, Malaysia in supporting some of the most exciting organizations in Malaysia to digitally transform. This lead role will support the team that drives the strategy and relationships with AWS’s Emerging and Digital customers in Malaysia to the next level. The Sales Lead will leverage their industry experience to hire and develop, coach, and lead a seasoned team, to execute on our strategy leading to deeper technology relationships, joint go-to-market initiatives, and even broader utilization of Amazon Web Services aligned with our Build in Malaysia for the Region strategy. This role will manage the goals, objectives, and performance of the team.

The leader will have outstanding executive presence and have led complex and cross functional teams across Sales, Technology and Solutions in a direct and/ or matrix environment.

We are looking for a creative and motivational leader with a customer obsessed approach.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the Emerging and Digital sales teams including developing opportunity pipeline, driving revenue growth, Partner alignment, ISV sell-with and user adoption as well as direct sales engagements cross key industry verticals acting as executive sponsor for key customer and partner relationships.

  • Build and leverage C-suite executive relationships with external stakeholders (customers, partners, press/media) to further adoption of AWS services in the market.

  • Serve as a key member of AWS Malaysia leadership team, in helping to define and execute AWS country growth strategy.

  • Operational Excellence is a non negotiable. Lead sales cadence through robust performance measures and reviews, using data driven analytics, to drive strong sales execution. This includes owing all metrics and goals and reporting of all account related activity i.e. sales forecasting, account strategy, demand generation, deal strategy development and trend analysis.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of sales management experience

  • Experience in management of large, complex enterprise accounts or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in IT sales, business development or consulting, with 5+ years managing cross functional Sales and Technology teams in a direct or matrix environment.

  • Direct field and management experience working with Digital (ISV or DNB) accounts.

  • Demonstrable ability to lead self and teams in consistently exceeding quota and key performance metrics.

  • Technical understanding in the areas of cloud computing, web services and enterprise software.

  • Exceptional communications skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations, engaging and influencing C-level executives.
