Your role at Clorox:

Lead the sub-team to facilitate PMU (Performance Management Unit) S&OP processes and act as a Demand and supply planner to perform demand estimation, baseline building, generate volume reco for budgeting process, and align supply planning to fulfill demand, facilitate S&OP meetings, and provide information to Business Unit / Countries Directors and GM to make decisions related to any demand or supply key issues or F2S process for PMU. This position will also:

• Drive S&OP process accountably and improvements based on key performance metrics and targets for forecast accuracy, inventory positioning (finished goods & raw materials).

• Own and Deliver key Supply Chain & cost saving results for PMU, such as inventory, customer service (CFR), and logistics costs.

• This position will ensure that the demand plans use appropriate statistical models, incorporate business intelligence and forecast information from sales, marketing, finance, advanced analytics, and other sources. Submit to Finance the volume projections for each of the financial updates including Budget, LRP and Inventory planning. Responsible for balancing the demand plan to ensure it fully supports both the business and the Supply Chain strategies.

In this role, you will:

1. Facilitate / Lead S&OP process for assigned PMU

  • Facilitate / lead S&OP process and drive forecast reviews with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations teams to validate and adjust current fiscal year forecasts, gaining full alignment with business owners and executive management

  • Present risks, scenarios and proposals to the commercial team and GM to reach company targets and correct deviations. Assure an accurate and efficient communication of decisions made to all areas involved (GM, Sales, Marketing, Integrator, and Finance).

  • Develop a sales forecast rollup by business from individual SKUs level forecasts to support discussions at the monthly meetings to provide insights on market and customer trends in order to complete a gap analysis

  • Gain consensus from all departments on key assumptions and changes to segment level volume

  • Provide monthly summaries to teams identifying key drivers, and clarity against segment/sku level gaps

  • Generate the volume recommendations for Budget cycles and Long Range Plans (LRP). Discuss recommendations with PMU related parties and GM to ensure final alignment is reached.

  • Ensure F2S process improvements. Identify and implement improvements in demand and supply planning processes. Assure these processes are aligned with corporate requirements.

2. Create/Review/Validate Demand, Supply Signal for rolling 24-months horizon and Inventory management

  • Establish and utilize best methods (statistical models and software tools) in creating forecasts at the item (Evolution: account and/or PMU) level, utilizing statistical algorithms

  • Analyzes historical sales trends and shipment trends to support baseline forecast assumptions

  • Use understanding of product life cycles to develop new item projections

  • Compile and analyze forecasts inputs at various demand segments, identifying and documenting performance gaps for review in monthly consensus meetings

  • Continuously improve forecasts through evaluation of promotional activity, inventory changes, consumptions trends, category trends, media and advertising plans or extended service level impacts

  • Ensure Business/Sales Team plans are supported through the Demand Forecast process

  • Proactively communicate critical changes to downstream supply chain partners

  • Create effective replenishment plan and supply forecast and maintain inventory at optimisms level.

  • Co-ordinate and communicate with co-packer and various team in Supply Chain

3. Managed a sub-team

  • Lead sub-team (Demand and Supply planning) to oversee and approve decisions made by these teams regarding production mix, stocks, inventories, capacity and ensure KPI’s are aligned with company targets and strategy.

  • Provide demand/supply leadership and act as the Supply Chain resource on cross-functional teams. Owns all the Demand / Supply responsibility, by identifying potential issues, developing action plans, assigning the sub-teams that will work to close the gaps. Monitor and support the Supply plan fulfillment.

  • Provide professional development, coaching, supervising to the sub-team.

4. Reporting and Project Management

  • Monitor and publish forecast KPI’s (FCA, Bias, Fill Rate, Inventor Targets, Planning Scorecard) on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, taking corrective actions as necessary

  • Monitor orders vs. estimates on a monthly basis, responding to exceptions with collaborative discussions and addressing monthly plan revisions accordingly

  • Identify key issues which require immediate escalation to Sales and/or Operations as required

  • Measure monthly forecast error results verses established targets and identify and report on root cause for forecast errors below target

  • Create business reviews determining long term business health and trends

  • Produces reports that facilitate a continuous analysis of actual sales and emerging trends in comparison to forecasts.

  • Represent Planning to join Project meeting being assigned.

5. Change Management

  • Identify areas in need of improvement

  • Search for potential solutions both internally and externally

  • Create and present recommendations

  • Collaborate with team to implement process improvements

  • Adopt new tools to improve process and Supply Chain results

What we look for:

Years and Type of Experience:

  • At least 6 years of work experience in Demand or Supply Planning, Supply Chain, or similar roles, preferably from FMCG

  • Knowledge of the supply chain and the impacts of forecasting on supply chain performance

Skills and Abilities:

  • Interpersonal Relations: Exceptional communicator; Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships across the functions and levels

  • Analytical & Decision Making: Able to analyze data, draw reasonable conclusions, and formulate next steps; Demonstrated strong aptitude in analysis, root causes identification, and problem solving Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills

  • Able to comprehend business requirements and translate that into tactics to move the team forward and staying ahead of business needs.

  • Experienced in leading a small team

  • Planning & Organizing: Experienced in setting priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment; Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations

  • Experienced in leading a small team

  • Fluent spoken and written English skills

  • Occasional travel is required

Preferred Skills

  • There (3) or more years of experience with statistical forecasting techniques

  • Advanced computer skills in Excel (pivot tables, macros, vlookups, etc.),

  • Knowledge of BI is an advantage

Education Level/Degree:

  • University Degree in Supply Chain, Data Science or Business Administration. Other disciplines with high analytical skills and experience in relevant areas may apply.

  • Post graduate studies in Commercial or Planning areas highly valuable.

  • APICS certification is highly desirable
