Sr Product Certification Engineer

Work Mode: Hybrid

Opportunity

Seeking a dynamic Senior Project Engineer to join our Codes & Standards team, focusing on global product certification for Kohler's Kitchen and Bath business. The ideal candidate will be an influential individual contributor with a strong capacity for strategic planning, technical insight, and coaching within a diverse and evolving regulatory landscape. This role is suited for professionals with experience in product certification, regulatory compliance, engineering, development, or a related field, looking to make a tangible impact on our innovative programs and processes.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for new or existing product listings, registrations, renewals, data collection, labeling, and anything else needed to support seamless market access.

  • Assist in the management of product compliance documentation and ensure accurate and timely updates to certification listings.

  • Support project teams by providing regulatory insights and guidance throughout the product development lifecycle.

  • Conduct periodic reviews of products to identify any certification renewal needs or compliance gaps.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Quality, and Marketing teams, to facilitate product compliance with current and emerging standards.

  • Engage in self-directed learning to deepen knowledge of technical categories and develop expertise in product-specific regulations.

  • Utilize critical thinking skills to interpret regulatory requirements and apply them to product designs, ensuring Kohler products meet global standards.

  • Prepare for a gradual transition into roles that support strategic compliance initiatives and new product development projects.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.

  • At least 4 years of experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs, or in a role requiring technical regulatory understanding.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage in critical thinking, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Proactive learner with the initiative to understand complex products and their regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across various functions within the organization.

The salary range for this position is $89,800 - $114,100. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
