Sr. Human Resource Manager, Supply Chain

Opportunity

The Sr HR Manager-K&B Operations & SCM is responsible for the development, direction, planning and execution of human resources initiatives that enable the organization to meet its human resources objectives. This position partners with leaders and key stakeholders to execute business objectives associates with the strategic plan. The HR Business Partner specifically directs talent acquisition, organizational development, compensation, diversity and inclusion, performance management, engagement and labor relations that results in improved organizational agility and effectiveness. The HR Business Partner will champion HR programs, practices, and policies with the overall objective of maintaining and nurturing a strong, talent focused culture. Contribute to the management of partnering relationships, building effective working relationships, and providing high-quality professional services to support in delivering business strategy and plans.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute overall human resources strategies to ensure that solutions and strategic workforce plans align to the business and site strategy and objectives.

  • Plans, creates and coaches to support organizational change management and communications at the assigned site(s).

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships of trust to foster transparency, open and honest two-way communication, and collaboration.

  • Executes HR processes i.e., Human Resources Review (talent reviews and succession planning), Performance Management and Development etc., within a matrix organization and partners with site leaders and managers for implementing agreed outcomes.

  • Develops robust talent management plans and drives change initiatives by partnering with site managers to attract, retain, develop, and engage talent in critical roles. Align with leadership to facilitate identification of critical skills for workforce and identifies cost effective and timely training development opportunities to teach these skills. Develops strategies to retain high performing associates.

  • Coach associates and managers regarding employee relations issues including performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints to resolution, discipline and/or terminations in line with company policies and legal practices.

  • Leads organizational diagnosis and metrics to drive organizational effectiveness through talent and organizational capabilities and culture. Acts as a catalyst for change by guiding and directing organizational design, development, and change management solutions.

  • Keeps informed of local market and competitive trends and leverages these insights to develop appropriate site-based HR strategies and solutions. Leads recruitment activities for exempt and administrative non-exempt roles, and partners with centralized manufacturing recruiting team for staffing of manufacturing roles. Establish hiring profiles, parameters, and effective workforce planning tools.

  • Leverages Talent Center of Expertise resources and partnership to embed Leading Boldly and other Kohler Learning & Development initiatives in the culture.

  • Partner with Regional teams and Enterprise COE to assist in development of strategies and solutions to labor issues. Responsible for all necessary regulatory compliance and risk management issues in accordance with geographic regulations.

  • Leverage data through Visier and other tools or dashboards to understand and proactively handle issues such as turnover, organizational spans of control and layers, diversity, equity in merit allocation and similar key indicators.

  • Participates as a member of plant leadership team to gain insight into the business and strategic plans to better develop human resources strategies and actions to support business goals.

  • Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving queries and issues and referring very complex or contentious issues to others.

  • Provide back-up support to other HR team members.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. HR Certification(s) desired.

  • Minimum of 8 years experience in Human Resources.

  • Substantive applicable work experience together with comprehensive job-related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level.

  • Experience working with global teams and proven capability to partner and drive results on a global scale

  • Experience as a trusted advisor to management on business issues and business strategy with the ability to link human resources as a driver and influencer of business performance.

  • Comprehensive HR experience, including a complete understanding of and hands-on exposure to the full mix of HR functions and navigating in a matrix-ed environment.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Self-motivated and highly organized with a bias for action, continuous improvement, and team orientation.

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication competencies.

  • Ability to use a high level of tact, diplomacy, discretion and empathy/understanding in a diverse work environment.

  • Must demonstrate and drive the Kohler Core Beliefs

The salary range for this position is $129,150 - $165,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
