Learning Operations Manager

Kohler Co is seeking a Learning Operations Manager who will work in close partnership with Human Resources, and other functional and business leadership to develop and manage leading class learning solutions, ensuring that the team is both innovative and effective.

The Learning Operations Manager reports to the Learning Director and is part of the Talent Center of Excellence that supports an exciting array of work. This is a unique opportunity to help build the future of Talent for Kohler Co!

Specific Responsibilities

  • Learning Operations:Lead Learning & Development (L&D) operations by implementing and managing processes, technologies, analytics, and communications strategies that enable the team to deliver high quality, innovative, and best-in-class L&D solutions to the business.

  • Learning Management System (LMS): Responsible for overseeing the implementation, administration, and maintenance of Kohler’s LMS.

  • Act as Kohler’s LMS subject matter expert and system super user

  • Implement governance for the LMS including managing user access, course quality standards, and course set-up requirements

  • Partner with functional business leaders to guide and implement large-scale training course rollouts via the LMS

  • Partner with the Global Shared Services (GSS) team to train and support GSS associates in their work to troubleshoot LMS system issues raised to them by Kohler associates.Troubleshoot technical issues escalated to you from the GSS Team.

  • Analyze LMS data for potential skill gaps and performance improvement opportunities

  • Establish and lead a community of practice for LMS administrators to share communications, training, best practices, and guidance

  • Partner with the Human Resources (HR) Digital Solutions Manager and IT to review periodic system updates and manage the change, communication, and training associated with the updates

  • Other L&D Technologies: Responsible for all additional L&D technology solutions such as LinkedIn Learning and Metrics-That-Matter.

  • Act as Kohler’s subject matter expert and leader for our L&D tech solutions

  • Manage the vendor relationships, contracts, and associate licenses

  • Drive utilization of these tools and measure effectiveness

  • Partner with vendors to provide training to L&D associates

  • Support HR Tech Stack: Collaborate with HRIT team to execute learning processes within our core HR tech stack, including testing and refining functionality for creating career profiles and assessing potential skill gaps in the organization.

  • Project Management: Provide project management support for our global L&D program rollouts.This includes designing and managing processes to implement, record, and measure learning and being a resource to program participants for requests and questions.

  • Vendor Management: Manage L&D vendor relationships and contracts.Regularly review relationships to ensure best-in-class partners, competitive pricing, and leading-edge solutions.Manage and oversee the project execution of new vendor initiatives, ensuring successful planning, implementation, and evaluation.

  • Tuition Reimbursement: Be the subject matter expert and associate resource for questions on our Tuition Reimbursement Policies.Promote the benefit as a part of the L&D communications strategy.

  • Reporting & Measurement: Partner with the People Analytics team to gather, analyze, and report on learning-related data and metrics that will inform L&D strategies.Develop and maintain a learning dashboard with the L&D key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement to L&D systems, processes, and programs.Provide best practices to optimize learning operations and continuously solicit feedback from key stakeholders including HR Business Partners, IT, Operations, and Legal to set L&D up to deliver programs and solutions that align with business needs.Benchmark programming and solutions to external best-in-class providers.

  • Communications: Partner with the HR communications team to develop and implement the L&D communications and promotions strategy globally.Own and maintain all Learning SharePoint pages internally.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Learning & Development (L&D), Organizational Development, or related degree program, or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 7 years of L&D experience. 2-3 years of experience managing projects.

  • Learning Management System (LMS) proficiency and experience (Cornerstone, Workday experience a plus)

  • Vendor and contract management skills

  • Project management skills

  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of associates and management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proactive; consultative; and can independently drive projects and initiatives

  • Ability to travel 10%+ of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of best-in-class learning operations practices

  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization

  • Data analytics expertise and experience supporting the learning function in making data-driven decisions

  • Internal communications and promotions experience

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills

  • SharePoint, Excel

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $89,800 - $114,100. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
