Human Resource Manager, Sales

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Hybrid at Kohler, WI (3x a week)

Opportunity

Come join the Kitchen & Bath North America HR Team, as we aggressively grow the Sales organization! The HR Manager over KBNA Sales is responsible for the development, direction, planning and execution of HR initiatives that enable the Professional and Retail Channels, and Canada business to meet their objectives. This position partners with senior level leaders and key stakeholders to provide solutions, thought partnership and business talent strategies to support the strategic growth plans. The HR Manager directs talent acquisition, organizational development, compensation, diversity and inclusion, performance management, engagement and labor relations that results in improved organizational agility and effectiveness in a high growth environment. The HR Business Partner will champion HR programs, practices, and policies with the overall objective of maintaining and nurturing a strong, talent focused culture. The HR Manager will also provide consultation and coaching to senior leaders on organizational issues that contribute to the start-up and growth of the business and the team. Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute overall human resources strategies to ensure that solutions and strategic plans align to the business objectives in Professional and Retail Channels, and Canada Business.

  • Support the significant growth and start-up of Field Sales Organization by developing a robust recruitment and attraction strategy, standardize onboarding and training programs, operationalize HR programs to quickly scale the business, and create a consumer centric culture for a remote team.

  • Partner with senior level leaders to deliver proactive succession planning solutions to build a pipeline of diverse leaders with concrete development plans to ensure readiness.Develop HR strategy to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and hold leaders accountable for implementing agreed outcomes.

  • Use data and other evidence to recognize talent opportunities, think strategically to create plans to address opportunities, achieve buy-in from senior leaders and execute plans to deliver measurable results.

  • Create a workplace strategy that celebrates and achieves diversity, equity and inclusion at all levels.

  • Practice radical candor, crucial conversations, and other coaching techniques to engage leadership, manage change, and drive results. Challenges the status quo.

  • Support, develop, engage, and retain talent by creating, implementing, and maintaining talent management solutions (engagement, succession planning, learning and development, assessment, planning).

  • Partner with KBNA Associate Experience Team to ensure effective and efficient hiring and onboarding and activities are prepared and delivered that develops new associates and reinforces business objectives.

  • Partner across the Kohler HR COE’s to develop recruiting, compensation, and talent development strategies that support fast-paced, business growth.

  • Plans, creates and coaches to support organizational change management and communications supporting respective growth strategies.Acts as a catalyst of change.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships of trust to foster transparency, open and honest two-way communication, and collaboration.

  • Keeps informed of local market and competitive trends and leverages these insights to develop appropriate HR strategies and solutions.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience with proven results in leading people strategies.

  • HR experience in a Sales or Retail environment preferred with a mix of exempt and hourly population support.

  • HR change agent who thrives in ambiguity, is flexible, and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate plans into phased actions.

  • Experience as a trusted advisor to senior level leaders on business issues and business strategy with the ability to link human resources as a driver and influencer of business performance.

  • Comprehensive HR experience, including a complete understanding of and hands-on exposure to the full mix of HR functions and navigating in a matrixed environment.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate actionable recommendations.

  • Self-motivated, creative problem solver and highly organized with a bias for action, continuous improvement, and team orientation.

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication competencies.

  • Ability to use a high level of tact, diplomacy, discretion and empathy/understanding in a diverse work environment.

  • Must demonstrate and drive the Kohler Leading Boldly Competencies.

  • Ability to travel to new and current locations within the United States and Canada.

  • Onsite or Hybrid – 50% onsite and 50% remote (needs to closely match population supported)

The salary range for this position is $94,400 - $119,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
