  1. Purpose of Position:

Use documented work instructions and procedures, measuring, test equipment and blueprints to audit material, product, and processes from incoming to final inspection to verify conformance to documented specifications and standards. Report results of audits performed and use data analysis and problem-solving skills to help achieve continuous improvement.

III. Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Procedures:

  1. Have a working knowledge of all incoming and blade manufacturing processes

  2. Perform audits on processes and report the results to appropriate management

  3. Obtain material & product samples per the applicable sample plan and inspect them to determine conformance to specifications and standards

  4. Assist Operations in interpreting process/product standards correctly

  5. Calculate sample averages and ranges and organize and chart data in Excel

  6. Construct pareto & trend charts, cause & effect diagrams to analyze audit findings, to assist Operations in continuous improvement efforts

  7. Segregate and clearly mark all suspect and non-conforming product/material. Complete applicable documentation and process in accordance with documented procedures

  8. Obtain disposition of non-conforming material with assistance from the QA Lead person and Manufacturing Team Leader

  9. Recommend corrective measures through departmental group leads and team leaders

  10. Assist in keeping quality system documentation up-to-date

  11. Record, file and maintain quality records, charts and files

IV. Pre-Qualifications:

1.

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.

  2. Must be able to work overtime as requested.

  3. Must be able to read and Interpret Work Instructions.

  4. Must be able to correctly calculate basic mathematic equations. (addition, subtraction, division and percentages)

  5. Prior auditing/inspection experience – min 1 year

  1. EXPERIENCE

Prior quality experience

Computer literacy: Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Proficient or ability to learn)

  1. SKILL
  • Broad knowledge of ISO 9001 and Lean Manufacturing

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills required.

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.

  • Teamwork/collaborative style a must.

  • Ability and knowledge to utilize standard testing and measurement devices.

  • Demonstrates Excellent Quality Awareness and Attention to Detail

  • Demonstrates general mechanical ability
