Your New Role
The Manager, Technical Accounting will be responsible for the company’s accounting assessments and policies. This individual should be comfortable working directly with senior management of the company as well as the external auditors.
Your Role Accountabilities…
Establish, develop and document the company’s global accounting policies
Be the accounting subject matter expert for various non-standard accounting topics
Assess, conclude on and document accounting treatment for transactions as well as contracts review and assessment
Advise, guide and monitor peers as it relates to compliant accounting behavior
Lead accounting and accounting-related projects (e.g. implementation of new accounting standards, business and M&A projects)
Create presentations and present to senior management and the Board of Directors
Work directly with the external auditors on accounting positions and external filings
Coordinate work activities with other company leaders around the world
Perform technical accounting research, understanding new accounting literature, evaluating implications to the company, and operationalizing the accounting guidance
Research, analyze, and formally document technical accounting issues and reporting requirements to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP
Qualifications & Experience…
BS/BA in related discipline from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5 years of experience and a strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and IFRS requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role
Mix of public accounting and public company experience
CPA required
