A.T. Still University ATSU - Research Coordinator II in Kirksville, Missouri

Description

The Research Project Coordinator II is responsible for the successful planning and implementation of multiple clinical and academic research/scholarly projects. This role ensures that projects supported by the Department of Research Support are thoroughly planned, monitored, controlled, and delivered on time and in accordance with established research protocols. The Research Project Coordinator II is responsible for maintaining consistent communication with the ATSU research community and external partners. This includes, but is not limited to, senior leadership, faculty, clinicians, biostatisticians, students, and research participants.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, plan, implement, execute, and assist with a variety of research projects and events to successfully meet study objectives, comply with protocol and regulatory requirements, and maintain the confidentiality of research data.
  • Ensure research project activities, contracts, and agreements are managed in accordance with ATSU, state/federal laws, policies, and guidelines.
  • Develop, follow, and update standard research project operating procedures.
  • Plan and lead team meetings with the Principal Investigator (PI) to ensure research adheres to established timelines.
  • Provide consultation to principal investigator(s) and other research team members on study-specific research processes.
  • Support educational research within the schools and programs at ATSU, collaborating with appropriate faculty and curriculum departments.
  • Develop study/project advertisement materials and promote the Department of Research Support through presentation, informational sessions, and intra-net (ATSU Internal webpage) updates.
  • Develop and launch surveys for research data collection, grants, and University assessments.
  • Stay informed about Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and ethical guidelines like HIPAA and FERPA.
  • Evening and weekend work will be required infrequently.

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelors degree or higher preferred.
  • Three to five years experience leading and organizing multiple projects.
  • Effective and confident speaking, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, tactful, positive, and energetic.
  • Must possess initiative, use independent judgment, be a team player with high problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ongoing professional development interests, such as certifications (e.g., Certified Clinical Research Coordinator- CCRC, Project Management Professional - PMP).
