Description

A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking applications for an exempt Admissions Counselor on the Kirksville, MO campus. As an Admissions Counselor at A.T. Still Health Sciences University, you will play a vital role in recruiting and admitting qualified students into various graduate programs offered by the university. You will be responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process, providing them with accurate and up-to-date information about the programs, and assessing their eligibility for admission. Your goal will be to attract and enroll a diverse group of students who demonstrate the potential to succeed in their chosen health science fields.

Major Job Duties

  • To promote the goals of Admissions with the ongoing national recruitment of students for admission to ATSU Programs.

  • Strong focus on recruiting and counseling/advising prospective students and current applicants.

  • Extensive regional and national travel required.

  • Counselors are the first point of contact for prospective students, screen files and make recommendations for candidacy, interview and evaluate applicants, and work with retaining accepted students.

  • Professional discretion and judgment are key requirements.

  • Maintain an extensive database of prospective students counseling them on prerequisite courses and application processes.

Education/Experience

  • 4-year college degree

  • Comfortable with traditional and non-traditional college students, college advisors, faculty, staff, and alumni.

  • Must enjoy travel and be able to travel on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
