Assistant Men's and Women's Swimming Coach/Natatorium Coordinator
Job Responsibilities
This is a 12-month, full-time position responsible for assisting the head coach with all phases of the mens and womens swimming program in a manner compatible with department and University philosophies.
Responsibilities: Assist the head coach in the following primary responsibilities: recruitment of prospective student-athletes coaching, mentoring, and retaining student-athletes in-season practice and meet planning; pre and post season conditioning compliance withNCAADivision II,GLVC, and University rules and regulations team travel arrangements assist with all aspects of teams fundraising
Additional responsibilities for on-campus natatorium include (but not limited to): manage pool usage schedule including open swim and intercollegiate athletics; hire, train, and schedule lifeguards as needed; coordinate with Physical Plant pool maintenance technician as needed; any other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Required qualifications include: A bachelors degree; demonstrated effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills:CPRand First Aid Certification. Also must be able to travel for competition and recruiting with most travel occurring evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include: a masters degree, collegiate,USA/YMCAclub, or high school coaching experience; collegiate swimming experience, familiarity with team and meet manager software.
