Requisition Summary This position reports to the Advanced Manufacturing Department within Kenworth Division. The Technical Project Manager will lead and oversee the development and documentation related to the manufacturing preparations for building new vehicles. This role will be with Kenworth and will be responsible for managing program development in a matrixed organization to meet program objectives, including schedules, budgets, communication, and issue management. Job Functions / Responsibilities The job duties will include the following: Provide project management leadership to a team of Advanced Manufacturing Engineers supporting development projects for vehicles incorporating emissions compliant powertrains. Lead activities associated with identifying PACCAR factory requirements for new vehicle programs. This includes but is not limited to budget requirements, brick and mortar changes, validation equipment, training, logistics packaging, product flow, and infrastructure development. Coordinate program activities across multiple PACCAR divisions and departments. Deliver assigned programs on time, on budget, while meeting program objectives. Maintain assigned programs in the appropriate tollgate phase. Effectively communicate up, down, and across the organization, including to Senior Management. Write scope requests and obtain approval. Develop and manage assigned program budgets and schedules. Prepare and deliver program presentations. Manage successful production implementation. Communicate pertinent information with PACCAR impacted factories. Coordinate plant input and feedback. Track and report critical metrics (readiness, defects, documentation, communication). Provide build support during pilot build activities at suppliers and truck factories. Contribute to department-wide continuous improvement activities. Travel up to 15% will be required. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications / Skills The successful candidate will have five or more years of program management experience, preferably with one to three years of automotive/commercial truck experience. A highly motivated self-starter with a proven track record leading successful projects. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required. Bachelor's Degree in engineering is required. MS/MBA degree preferred. PMP or PgMP certification preferred.
