ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for the timely submission and accuracy of all applicable CDRL’s.Responsible to the Maintenance Manager for providing optimal component and SE repair productivity.Plans, coordinates and directs the activities of the Maintenance Team in all aspects of AIMD I-Level maintenance. Divisions include Airframes, Avionics, ALSS, NDI and GSE.Performs management analysis and workload planning to ensure customer and company goals are met.Accounts for the day-to-day operations of all Ground Support Equipment (GSE), including all Company owned vehicles. Responsible for the METCAL program and items that are calibrated. Responsible for coordinating with the Site, Maintenance and, Depot Managers, both on and cross-site, to ensure projects are prioritized and completed in a timely manner. Coordinates with the Supply Department to ensure best practice concepts and guidelines for material management are established.Responsible for verification, research and recommendations to the Government, for items and equipment to add to the I-Level Individual Component Repair List (ICRL). The effort underpins the broadening of repair capabilities at the Site. Attends the Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) and ICRL conferences. Responsible to research requirements and recommend additional equipment to meet current and future needs. Maintains close liaison with CNATRA management to ensure all areas concern/interest are addressed, and resolved in a timely manner.Interfaces with the customer to assure their needs are met.Coordinates with the Quality Manager to analyze maintenance data to identify trends and deficiencies.Proactively addresses all findings from internal and external audits to implement corrective action as needed to resolve maintenance issues and ensure all NAMP requirements are met. Evaluates existing methods, systems and potential improvements for compliance to maintenance requirements, ensuring cost effectiveness, productivity and personnel safety.Responsible to the T-45 Program Office and satellite sites to provide data and forecasting for site throughput and identifying program concerns. Provide input to Site Management regarding manpower, materials, facilities and capital equipment.Actively supports the Company's Safety philosophy and programs. Investigates all accidents and injuries of assigned personnel and takes action to prevent similar incidents.Determine and coordinate the most feasible means to perform off-site repairs.Interview, select and train new employees. Instruct assigned employees on proper methods and procedures as required.Investigate and resolve employee's complaints. Be thoroughly familiar with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Be thoroughly familiar with and support Company policies and procedures.Discipline employees as needed to enforce Company policies, directives and CBA requirements following progressive disciplinary procedures.Be knowledgeable and responsible to the NAMP Programs that pertain to AIMD, such as but not limited to FOD, Tool Control, Tire and Wheel, Hydraulic Contamination, ESD, SE PMS, Welding, NDI, Ordnance. Enforce all Company and Government regulations to ensure personnel safety and the security and preservation of Government and Company-owned equipment.Ensure compliance with required Quality Control policies and inspections.Assist in the Training Program as required for employees.Perform other reasonably related incidental duties when directed within the job classification.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDSMust be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance. Must have a min of HS diploma or equivalent. The Production Manager shall possess an extensive background in the field of aircraft maintenance and material support with a minimum of twelve (12) years of experience within the last 15 years in direct NAMP maintenance repair, inspection, and modification. Of the last ten (10) years of experience in maintenance, six (6) years shall be in a supervisory position that included responsibility for assigning program workloads as well as duties for entire shifts. Must have knowledgeable of technical directives and COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series; be knowledgeable of and understand Aviation Supply procedures. Shall have worked a minimum of five (5) years in a maintenance/production control position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Physical Demands:This classification activity is usually accomplished in a hanger/shop/flight line environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with these activities. May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment:The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.
