About the role:
To lead the Transfer price (TP) modelling and Source to Pay (S2P) process for graze / Nature Delivered. Supporting the Head of Finance and the wider leadership team as part of our future growth plans. You will manage the end to end transfer price modelling process through to Unilever group submission, partner the Head of Supply Chain in procurement analysis and provide financial information and analysis to support the business’ commercial/ business operations objectives, and to other departments in key decisions.
You’ll have a hands-on approach, be able to lead and explain the model input requirements to stakeholders, and the model outputs with actionable insights and analysis on movements considering internal and external influences.
Your prior experience will be in a SME (small-medium size) manufacturing or retail business (you must have experience of modelling and procurement experience is preferred), and you’ll be a true business partner to the leadership team.
You’ll be proactive, able to work at pace, energetic, capable and positive in your outlook and approach.
What you'll be responsible for:
Developing a detailed knowledge of the businesses Fixed Costs, Variable Costs, Overheads, Under/Over absorption and overall operations as the key modeller inputs.
Take ownership of all input templates for TP modelling entries, and support / business partner internal stakeholders with their inputs, while actively challenging their assumptions and data sources to ensure the right information is provided.
Review all inputs, providing relevant procurement internal and external benchmarks and recommendations to the Finance Business Partner and Head of Finance, and relevant heads of departments in their respective business areas.
Preparing models and summary reports of findings for financial and business analysis of the proposed latest output from the model.
Modelling analysis of current transfer prices & the movements of the proposed forecast transfer prices. Highlighting movements and commenting on the drivers behind these movements.
Preparing market analysis and commentary relating to relevant external triggers, markets, ingredient values, supply and demand.
On-going analysis to identify specific hotspots to iterate for future versions of the transfer price and recommendations on risk mitigation or opportunities to go after.
Driving the requirements to meet the Unilever group transfer pricing upload timeline, creating an internal calendar of submissions and reviews working back from that fixed deadline and holding the business to those milestones / gates.
Proposed builds to the model to improve it, including how to distribute the output across the business and allow for real time business assumptions updates to further improve the input process.
Source to pay & planning responsibilities:
Contract support and costing analysis in the pre-signature stage with potential supplier(s).
Market analysis with procurement on forward looking cost estimation – risks and opportunities.
Price ingredient register of inventory and FIFO allocation when converting from materials into FG.
PO review against contract pricing (actuals v contract analysis) and PPV analysis reporting.
Savings analysis of materials costs and tracking (P&L cost reductions vs cost avoidance etc.).
What we're looking for in you:
You’ll have strong modelling and some financial/procurement reporting skills, underpinned with some analysis experience. It’s essential that your ability with Microsoft excel level is strong, and ideally you’ll also have experience in Oracle NetSuite our finance & purchase order system.
