Job Description

BAE Systems, one of the world's largest defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 Company, is hiring a Security Manager. The Security Manager works with subcontractors, functional leads, procurement, and teammates within the Security group to ensure all contract deliverables are met and the installation is secure. The Security Manager will primarily support the site General Manager in the execution of various programs at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant. This position will report directly to the Security Director and will be responsible for managing the following departments: Security, Fire, and Emergency Services, Business Continuity, and ATF FEL Management.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor s Degree and 8 years of experience or equivalent experience

• Must either have an active/inactive/interim Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one

• Experience in Physical Security within US Government, Defense, Corporate Security, or related environment

• Experience in Physical Security risk assessment, investigations, and audits

• Experience in Physical Security equipment and software, such as, security access, cameras, and alarm systems

• Experience in Project Management with the ability to manage projects, including strategic planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation

• Experience in People Management/Leadership with the ability to lead, coach, mentor, train, and develop staff

• Experience in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, etc.

• Ability to use discretionary judgment to resolve both routine and non-routine issues

• Ability to work in a team-based environment with other business professionals

• Ability to professionally partner with USG counterparts on challenging issues

• Ability to properly interpret contract language and apply strategy to comply

• Ability to multi-task within a rapidly changing environment

• Ability to negotiate compromises between others

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Strong organizational and analytical skills

• Excellent written and verbal communications

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Active Secret Clearance

• FSO Certification or coursework towards this certification

• Security Engineering

• Experience managing a large contracted security service & Fire/ EMS

• U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (COE) in security engineering principles certification

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $92520 - $157320

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
