Responsibilities

As Global Reliability Program Manager at Eastman, you’ll work on maximizing the ROI of reliability investment through striking best balance of preventative/reactive maintenance based on product demand and margins. You’ll define and maintain reliability standards and processes that will deliver desired business outcomes. You will establish Critical Metrics & Tools to point to the value and measure Reliability Performance against business goals and facilitate capability build in the sites/division through the Reliability Playbook and Technology Deployment. Furthermore, you will facilitate value capture through implementations and enforce consistent adherence to the reliability standards & performance goals to ensure the Reliability Transformation “sticks.”

Note: This position can be based in the US or Europe, in one of the following locations: Kingsport, Tennessee / Longview, Texas / Ghent, Belgium

Responsibilities

  • Champion Eastman Zero Incident Mindset through focus on reducing unplanned operational events through consistent, disciplined reliability and asset integrity management

  • Drive implementation of corporate reliability strategy and leverage expertise & established working relationships to lead transformational change by:

  • Serving as a Division Leadership Team (e.g., core business team) liaison with accountability for reliability target setting and performance via alignment on business strategy, performance monitoring / reinforcement / enforcement and prioritization

  • Serving as Eastman Manufacturing Site liaison with accountability through site managers of assigned sites for reliability including asset integrity

  • Assessing process execution (source of and best practice enterprise-wide gap identification), prioritizing gap closure support to drive asset strategy development and monitoring improvement choices for cost and output

  • Leading rapid improvement efforts for sites including opportunity discovery, routine development and gap closure actions

  • Provide reliability improvement implementation support, IT systems and new technology adoption, and networking

  • Perform auditing and ensure enforcement

  • Serve as a member of the Reliability CoE Core Team:

  • Lead standards development and establish/manage external connections 

  • Own specific KPIs and metrics

  • Subject Matter Expertise support coordination

  • Own portion of assessment / audit process, consolidated improvement project list maintenance and prioritization (ServiceNow) and support Rapid Reliability Improvement 

  • Develop and steward playbooks, competency maps and own portions of our digital roadmap and emerging technologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is highly preferred. Significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience required, including experience in manufacturing with general knowledge of reliability and reliability management systems

  • Comfortable in the field, in the shop, in team and 1:1 interaction

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with higher levels in the organization

  • Experience with strategy development and project management

  • Excellent at team leadership and mentorship; ability to influence without direct authority

  • Ability to develop high level of credibility with maintenance & manufacturing leaders

  • Moderate travel will be required to network with assigned sites
