CSL Behring Sr. Analyst, HR Technology – Data Governance & HCM in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Associate Director, HR Technology, as the Sr. Analyst, HR Technology – Data Governance & HCM, you will spearhead the transformation of our HR data across the CSL HR Technology landscape. You will play a pivotal role in the ongoing refinement, expansion, and deployment of a robust data governance framework, cleaning up existing data, and maintaining consistency for future data management by formalizing working definitions, data standards, and policies that are enforced through an accountability and stewardship model. You will closely partner with all stakeholders across the organization (globally), including I&T, HR, Finance, Communications, Payroll, and Senior Leadership team (aka. Data Governance Board), to influence data governance practices and ensure alignment with organizational goals by implementing industry-leading standards and methodologies.

At CSL, data governance is critical to addressing the needs for data quality, data literacy, data security, and compliance, with the simple goal of establishing clarity and trust in the data that drives business outcomes.

This is a hybrid role, which offers a combination of an onsite and remote work schedule. #LI-hybrid

The Role:

Define Data Governance Framework:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the structure and standards for data governance within CSL’s HR System of Record (Workday) along with other key tools and technologies.

  • Ensure alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards.

  • Manage the list of data governance topics for review by the HR Data Governance Board and HR Data Gov. SME team

  • Creation of surveys and presentations that describe and collect feedback on data governance topics

  • Assist the HR Data Governance Lead in presenting content to the governance board

  • Assist the HR Data Governance Lead in actively managing the HR Data Gov. SME team (driving engagement, input and feedback…etc.)

Data Cleanup:

  • Lead the cleanup efforts of HR data within Workday.

  • Identify inconsistencies, redundancies, and inaccuracies of HR data

  • Implement corrective measures to ensure data integrity with cross functional partnerships

Expertise Core Workday:

  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of Workday architecture to optimize data structures, field usage, and labelling conventions.

  • Ensure alignment with business requirements and best practices.

  • Support HCM Core Functionality as needed

  • Lead medium to large enhancements and projects, set and maintain project scope and timelines, mitigate risks, and ensure deliverables are met.

  • Configure and test new setup, enhancements, and updates, ensuring all configuration changes are thoroughly tested, documented, and released according to guidelines.

  • Present demos and Proof of Concepts of new functionality

  • Provide recommendations to leadership to improve employee/user experience and introduce new functionality to meet current and future needs

Diagnose and Analyze:

  • Conduct thorough analysis to diagnose existing data issues.

  • Identify root causes and propose effective solutions to enhance data quality and consistency.

Implement Checks and Balances:

  • Establish robust checks and balances to ensure ongoing data maintenance.

  • Adhere to governance standards, including data quality monitoring (Dashboards, Reports etc.), validation rules, and user training programs.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of Workday Configuration experience, 5+ years in HR Operations/Technology.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing data governance frameworks.

  • Deep understanding of data governance principles and best practices.

  • Strong knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

  • Experience with data quality management.

  • Deep expertise and excellent working knowledge of Workday Core HCM.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Self-directed and able to manage changing priorities and expectations to align to business objectives.
