Lockheed Martin Senior Information Assurance Engineer in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania

Description: *Up to $5,000 Sign-On Bonus*

The Space Security Division focuses on the critical needs for protection of space capabilities that are of national importance to our national security, communications, business, and lives.

Successful applications will have a strong background in:

Technical Expertise: The engineer should possess a solid understanding of engineering principles relevant to the project, including knowledge of systems architecture, software development, hardware design, or other technical areas as applicable. This expertise enables the engineer to effectively identify and assess risks associated with the project's technical aspects.

Familiarity with RMF: The engineer should have a working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework and its associated processes, procedures, and guidelines. This includes understanding the steps involved in categorizing information systems, selecting, and implementing security controls, assessing risks, and monitoring security posture. Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations, such as NIST Special Publication 800-37, is also beneficial.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills are essential for evaluating and prioritizing risks, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and proposing effective risk mitigation strategies. The engineer should be capable of conducting thorough risk assessments, analyzing complex technical information, and making informed decisions based on risk analysis results.

Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration skills are crucial for interacting with project stakeholders, team members, and other stakeholders involved in the RMF process. The engineer should be able to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely, facilitate discussions about risk management strategies, and work collaboratively to implement security controls and mitigate risks effectively.

Selected candidate must have a TS/SCI security clearance This is a level 3, MID CAREER role where successful applicants will:

  • Typically possess 5 - 10 yearsof professional experience and a BS degree. Selected candidate must have a TS/SCI security clearance prior to start.
