Lockheed Martin Space, Defense & Space Security, is looking for spacecraft operators to support a broad group of customers and missions. Our customer community included civil, commercial, and military organizations. LM also has platforms for future test beds as space becomes more accessible. To address these current and future needs, we are looking for individuals to take on the challenge of the next generation of systems supporting diverse and exciting missions. Spacecraft operator roles include Command and Control (C2), Mission Planning, Vehicle Engineering, and Crew Chief
Our team is looking for candidates interested in expanding their knowledge and capabilities within the Systems Engineering and Test Environments.
The selected candidate will perform the following:
- Develop detailed plans and operation procedures to test and operate satellites
- Support operations during mission phases
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues found during compatibility testing and initial On-Orbit operations
- Investigate anomalies and work with the engineering teams to resolve
Shift work may be required for this position due to scheduling of resources and simulated ops training

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with on-orbit spacecraft, satellite flight, or ground system operations
- Satellite operations or spacecraft integration and test experience
- Understanding of spacecraft systems, astrodynamics or orbital mechanics
- Active Top Secret clearance required prior to start
Desired Skills:
- Experience developing or executing command and control scripts, operations procedures, training plans, missions plans, and schedules.
- Experience working with or supporting Satellite Operations Centers and/or Mission Operations Centers
- MATLAB or STK Orbital analysis program experience a plus
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Rotating 40 hour week as assigned by leader
