    Job Overview

    The Project Control Specialist will partner with project management to develop, monitor, and update project estimates and/or schedules so that projects may be executed in the most efficient manner possible

    Key Responsibilities

  • Review of client provided project descriptions to assess scope of work

  • Apply methodologies, techniques and tools, software, standards and guidelines for estimating and/or planning/scheduling

  • Support estimating/scheduling efforts for the development of the project plan

  • Provide analysis of project estimates and/or schedules, including, as applicable, CPM software implementation, time impact and delay analysis, and review of periodic updates

  • Develop baseline and detailed schedules inclusive of major milestones, detailed WBS, assignment of costs, labor, and equipment to activities, resource leveling, etc.

  • Prepare and provide progress reports and forecasts of significant project activities. Analyze the effects to critical path activities; identify changes to the project that affect the schedule and develops the recovery schedules and alternate courses of action

  • Participate in continuous improvement of the estimating/scheduling organization through benchmarking and maintaining affiliations with industry estimating/scheduling organizations and local/national chapters

  • Monitor project productivity, quality, and progress

  • Monitor and resolve technical issues in a timely and effective manner

  • Perform other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business, Business Administration or a related field

  • With 5+ years of job-relevant experience

  • Associate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Accounting, Math, or related field

  • With 7+ years of job-relevant experience.

  • High School or GED

  • With 9+ years of job-relevant experience.

  • 2+ years of experience scheduling and/or estimating on Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) projects preferred.

  • Knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures

  • Demonstrated attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with P6 primavera

  • Willingness to travel and/or visit project sites
