The Position

The Collections Supervisor is responsible for implementing and managing collections projects to improve quality, reduce costs, increase productivity, accuracy, efficiency and reliability. This role is also responsible for analyzing current processes and systems and identifying strengths and weaknesses while making recommendations for continuous improvement.

Essential Functions

• Lead a team managing key collections processes including, but not limited to, first and third-party agency relationship, bankruptcy, pre-paid purchases and repossession.

• Research, analyze, and recommend changes to the Collections processes to improve overall performance.

Identify training gaps and assist in creating related documentation and delivering training.

• Create SOPs for new and existing collections processes.

• Develop cross-functional strategic relationships with other departments leveraging their skills and knowledge to brainstorm, solve difficult problems and create better outcomes.

• Create reports used to analyze and actively manage quantitative and qualitative performance metrics to achieve the best results.

• Handle and resolve escalated customer issues.

Qualifications

• 2+ demonstrated supervisory experience.

• Prior experience managing projects and processes to achieve meaningful outcomes.

• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork.

• Critical thinking skills with the ability to make the tough call and course correct as needed.

• Time management skills which allow for timely completion of deliverables.

• Recognizing and mitigating risks to maximize effectiveness of a project or process.

• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all of the requirements have been captured prior to implementation.

• Analytical skills and prior use of metrics to determine needs and create appropriate project plans.

• Must have a "customer-centric" attitude with an eagerness to rovide world-class customer service.

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in written correspondence

• Must be extremely organized, detail oriented, resourceful and thorough in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work in a team and across different departments.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

• Bachelor's degree desired
