Red River Project Manager in King George, Virginia

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Project Manager to join our team to plan, coordinate, lead, and report on IT hardware assembly at multiple assembly facilities in the Maryland, Virginia, DC, Pennsylvania area supporting government operations. As an IT Project Manager, you will report to the Program Manager and collaborate and work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to successfully deliver assembled hardware supporting large-scale government programs. This position requires 25% on-site time in King George VA and travel in the Maryland, Virginia, and DC area.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field or applicable work experience.

  • Secret security clearance.

  • Project Management Professional certification.

  • Eight years of project management experience, preferably in the government sector.

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies i.e., Agile, Scrum, Lean.

  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects throughout their life cycle based on customer defined requirements and processes.

  • Coordinate between customer contacts, team resources, direct team members, partners, subcontractors, and project stakeholders on all aspects of the projects.

  • Manage, coordinate, and establish priorities for complete life cycle of projects including the planning, design, programming, testing, and implementation of solutions designed to meet the project requirements.

  • Determine project needs and coordinate resources required for project success.

  • Design project plans which identify needs and define major tasks and milestones, based on scope, resources, budget, and personnel.

  • Oversee project team members and assign tasks and responsibilities.

  • Provide direction and technical guidance to project team members; communicate job expectations; and plan, monitor, and appraise job results.

  • Plan, initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.

As an IT Project Manager, you will fill a critical role in overseeing hardware assembly supporting large-scale government programs. Your expertise in Project Management and your ability to lead teams to successful project completion will contribute to the achievement of program objectives. You will work in a collaborative and dynamic environment, interacting with various stakeholders.
