POWDR Conference Services Coordinator in Killington, Vermont

Responsible for coordinating all needs for banquets, conventions, meetings, weddings, bus groups and other special functions held at Killington facilities. Initiate and maintain contact with clients. Obtain agenda, menu selections, room set-up, and AV needs. Act as a liaison between client and internal departments. Create banquet event orders, send to client to sign, and distribute information to all departments involved in the execution of the event. Monitor events as appropriate to ensure guest satisfaction. Communicate with Accounting Department to produce invoice, and follow through with collecting payment. Perform other tasks as assigned.FT-year round job with Group I Benefits including medical, dental, vacation, 401(k) and great resort privileges. Associate Degree in hotel/restaurant management, business or other appropriate field, plus one to three years’ experience in restaurant management or event planning, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. Must have a broad base of knowledge and skills in food service management as well as excellent administrative, computer and organizational skills. Must have the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of company personnel, clients and outside organizations. A flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays needed.
