Location: Ft. Cavazos, Texas – Central Issue Facility (CIF)

Type: Non-Exempt

Compensation: $17.75-$17.75/hour

Work Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift

Skookum is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Specialist with a positive attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Turn-In/Issue/Direct Exchange: Receives, issues, and exchanges clothing and equipment from customer and ensures that all items are in compliance with instructions and army technical manuals.

  • Customer Service: Performs daily assigned work supporting customers, while providing excellent customer service.

  • Maintains Workstation/Back Stock Area: Maintains a fully stocked workstation capable of supporting 150 full issues each day.

  • Conduct Inventories: Assists in preparing equipment for monthly inventory and counting all equipment in designated areas.

  • DRMO & Classification: Classifies equipment to determine serviceability and Condition Code in accordance with specific Technical Manuals.

  • Barcode Scanning System: Uses the Barcode Scanning System during daily operations to process Issues, Turn-ins, and Direct Exchanges.

  • General Cleanliness: Assists with maintaining general cleanliness of the Central Issue Facility, to include policing of the building’s exterior grounds.

  • Repair & Cleaning Equipment: Repairs some equipment using small hand tools and also clean, assemble, and disassemble equipment, as required.

  • Quality and Safety: Ensures that quality and safety levels are maintained in all areas and reports quality control and safety complaints or issues to management.

Qualifications:

  • At least one (1) year of stock clerk experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of a Central Issuing Facility preferred.

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to respond to inquiries.

  • Ability to communicate in a clear, effective, and professional manner.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
