Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - 7:30am - 5:30pm, Overtime, describe requirements - overtime required

Summary of Position

This job position oversees daily sales transactions and reports financial status of the Bookstore to the Bookstore Manager. The Incumbent supervises several cashiers and manages general office operations for the Bookstore.

Minimum Required Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum Required Experience

Four years wage earning cashier experience, or certification / successful completion of relevant trade school (30 college credits) and one year wage earning cashier experience required. One year experience as head cashier preferred.

A copy of certificates and/or college transcripts required with application for evaluation purposes.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems.

  • Demonstrated skills in data entry.

  • Ability to operate 10-key by touch, fax, copiers, and various other office equipment.

  • Ability to handle pressure and assume supervisory responsibility.

  • Ability to interact effectively with other college employees and the general public.

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to train others in cash/monetary operations.

  • Ability to proofread and verify financial reports with a high degree of accuracy.
