About the Role:

Teva Ukraine is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Government Relations to lead our efforts in advocating for the company's interests in the public and political arena. This is a crucial role that involves developing and implementing innovative strategies to increase government awareness of our product portfolio and ensuring effective engagement with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, Ukrainian legislation, and strong experience in managing government relations within regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and implement strategies to increase government awareness of the company’s products and ensure successful government relations;

• Develop and advocate for legislative initiatives favorable to the company's growth;

• Monitor and analyze government policy, identifying opportunities to further the company's agenda;

• Provide strategic advice on emerging political and regulatory issues affecting the company;

• Develop and strengthen relationships with government officials, decision-makers, and key influencers;

• Ensure timely and accurate responses to legislative, regulatory requests, and public inquiries;

• Collaborate with internal teams on government-related issues and regulatory matters;

• Promote corporate positions with senior government officials and external audiences;

• Manage the company’s participation in professional associations related to health policy;

• Develop and maintain relations with media representatives to ensure transparency;

• Prepare reports and presentations on government interactions and their impact on the business;

• Ensure compliance with ethical standards in all interactions with state bodies;

• Implement crisis communication strategies in collaboration with the communications department.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in political science, Law, Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field;

• 10+ years of professional experience in a similar role within international or large national companies in the pharmaceutical, medical, or other regulated industries;

• Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and Ukrainian legislation;

• Proven managerial experience;

• Fluent in English and Ukrainian;

• Excellent strategic thinking and communication skills;

• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels of the organization;

• Highly motivated self-starter with a strong "can-do" attitude;

• Strong project management, risk assessment, and change management skills;

• Ability to prioritize a dynamic workload with strong attention to detail.

Special or Technical Knowledge:

• In-depth knowledge of the Ukrainian healthcare system, including government bodies and regulatory institutions;

• Understanding of GCP, GPP, and evidence-based medicine principles;

• Ability to find and interpret scientifically reliable medical information;

• Familiarity with ethical promotion rules and interaction with healthcare specialists;

• Experience managing regulatory projects and legislative changes;

• Knowledge of the "Affordable Medicines" reimbursement program;

• Ability to develop and deliver educational materials;

• Basic knowledge of marketing and pharmacovigilance.
