An exciting opportunity awaits within a global water solutions company. Grundfos Pumps in Australia is seeking for an enthusiastic technical account manager to join our Water Utility division in our Western Australia office.
What is the Job all about?
As an Account Manager for our Water Utility Division (Ground Water and Irrigation), you will be working closely with customers to provide world class customer service to share expertise on customer needs and perception of best value. You will also be responsible for achieving sales growth, target margins, and improving customers satisfaction results within assigned customer area. Furthermore, You will also deliver agreed annual tactical plans and activities and support management and colleagues to deliver overall team targets.
This role will be directly reporting to the Sales Manager (Water Utility) and will be part of the Water Utility Asia Pacific – Oceania Ground Water department based in Western Australia.
Your main responsibilities:
Achieve sales and margin targets
Support performance unit tactical plan including both sales and marketing activities
Continually grow and develop personal expertise within products and applications relevant to the market sector and customer base
Deliver added customer value reflecting a sell through mindset, demonstrating an understanding of end customer needs, and where relevant, development of joint dealer/end user activities and or key end user relationships
Apply Sales Excellence principles utilising SAP Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Collaborate with the Business Development Managers (BDM) and Key Account Managers (KAM) to ensure profitable sales growth across National Key Accounts
Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders in the performance unit to achieve goals.
Look after the retention and growth of key customers, develop and maintain respected relationships (buying and non-buying)
Identify and evaluate new opportunities within the performance unit to increase Scope of Work (SOW) and potential growth areas
Conduct customer training both online and face to face format
Perform any other tasks commensurate with the position as required
Your background:
Min 3 years’ experience in an account management and technical sales responsibility
Min 3 years’ experience in in at least two (2) of the following: Ground Water, Irrigation, Agriculture water, Stock Watering market sectors
Prior Work Experience with pumps, valves, fittings is good to have
Prior Work Experience working with mining industry is good to have
Demonstrable experience with achieving sales targets
Demonstrable experience with developing trusted customer and stakeholder relationships
