SUMMARY

The Safety Intern will provide support to the Safety department by working on a variety of safety related projects while gaining exposure to a variety of functional areas and business segments within the organization.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Conduct written program/procedure reviews and develop training curriculums based on these programs.

  • Assist with accident investigations and follow-up with required corrective action.

  • Develop and/or update safetyand health training programs for various business units.

  • Provide daily support to the safetydepartment on a variety of safetyprojects.

  • Assist and conduct internal compliance and injury reduction assessments to include follow through.

  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations on potential improvements.

  • Quantify and present safety& health statistics to the management team.

  • Support and manage the SafetyManagement System (SMS)

  • All other duties and projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Safetyand Occupational Health or related field.

  • Willing to travel or relocate to Kewaunee, WI for the Summer of 2025 (relocation assistance provided for those with a permanent address of greater than 50 miles from Kewaunee, WI).

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to learn new programs quickly while working in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential.

  • Familiar with manufacturing and safetyprinciples is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently when necessary.
