Apply now to join our team.The Program Supervisor V position in Safety Risk Management (SRM) oversees all entities within the organizational structure of SRM department. Overall general responsibilities include: Supervising/managing the following departments and/or programs: Employee Injury Services Program, Safety Officer and the Emergency Management Program.Responsibilities and other duties include but are not limited to: Staff evaluation, approvals of invoices.Confirming that campus fire drills are conducted as required by regulatory and documenting findings as well as plans of correction; Conducting life safety code tours and monitoring life safety issues; processes staff/client injury reports; is proactive in taking measures to improve safety by investigating incidents and tracking trends; works with a variety of hospital leadership personnel; participates in pre-service orientation and training when needed.The SRM Manager participates in monthly Safety Environment of Care Committee meetings and presents relevant and regular reporting information on SRM projects, programs and performance measures. Chairs the Accident Review Board (ARB) committee. Takes the lead in developing a culture of safety and security with involvement from team members of both the SRM department and other leaders within the Hospital.The SRM Manager participates in performance improvement activities and compiles documentation that meets Joint Commission, Federal, State and Local regulations and standards.Attends work on a regular and schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. Essential Job Functions1.Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.2.Provides quality administrative and program support to the Safety Risk Management Department critical to providing an environment of care that ensures the safety of hospital staff and the clients served.3.Investigates incidents involving hospital staff and clients.4.Reviews staff/client injury reports for completion and accuracy.5.Ensures successful performance improvement initiatives and develops and monitors plans of correction for the Safety Risk Management Department.6.Develops and presents safety training in a variety of venues.7.Conducts Safety Environment of Care tours; monitor/review fire drills and maintains documentation for regulatory purposes; performs environmental, equipment, furniture and program risk assessments and documents findings.8.Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a role to meet the agency https://jobshrportal.hhsc.state.tx.us/ENG/CareerPortal/job_profile.cfm?szOrderID=589597 Copy the URL in the preceding sentence to an Internet Explorer browser to apply to the job directly through the Texas Health and Human Services Career Portal.
