Job Title: Financial Data & Analytics Specialist

Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Data & Analytics Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with financial data workflows and reporting processes, including handling large datasets, building financial forecasts, and generating actionable insights. This role requires a strong understanding of financial modeling, Excel functions, and forecasting techniques to ensure data accuracy and support business decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify key data requirements and determine where the data needs to be entered within the system.

  • Work with Excel files to fully understand, analyze, and organize data sourcing and management processes.

  • Utilize advanced Excel techniques such as Index Match, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP to extract and analyze data efficiently.

  • Build P& L (Profit and Loss) forecasts using data provided by leadership and develop strategies to translate these forecasts into balance sheets and cash flow statements, including calculations of DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and working capital for example.

  • Extract trial balances via Trial Balance dumps and perform necessary adjustments in Excel to prepare accurate financial statements.

  • Collaborate with financial software tools such as OneStream (preferred but not required), aiding in initiatives like KPI reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Support understanding of ERP systems like QAD SE and QAD Power EE (prior experience not mandatory).

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., Index Match, VLOOKUP, xlookup, HLOOKUP).

  • Experience with preparing balance sheets, cash flow forecasts, and financial performance reports.

  • Familiarity with OneStream or similar CPM platforms is a plus (e.g., used in industries like Herman Miller, UFP, or Ranir).

  • Knowledge of KPIs, working capital, and financial statement adjustments is highly desirable.

  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
