Job Title: Shipping Coordinator

Job Description

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for managing import/export documentation, tracking inbound and outbound shipments, creating shipping labels, and occasionally packaging shipments that require special attention. This role involves inspecting packaging, entering data, and reporting on inbound/outbound shipments. Additionally, the Shipping Coordinator will support the inventory, storage, scrapping, and resale of commercial aircraft parts. They will also inspect and compare aircraft parts to attached paperwork to ensure quality and quantity, ensuring compliance with packaging and shipping requirements before sending out to customers or performing receiving inspections.

Responsibilities

• Complete and check import/export documentation.

• Track inbound and outbound shipments.

• Create shipping labels and occasionally package shipments requiring special attention.

• Inspect packaging and overall shipment to ensure compliance.

• Perform receiving inspections by counting, verifying, and entering data in the ERP system.

• Support inventory, storage, scrapping, and resale of commercial aircraft parts.

• Inspect aircraft parts and compare to attached paperwork to ensure quality and quantity.

• Enter data and report on inbound/outbound shipments.

Essential Skills

• Experience in logistics and shipping.

• Experience using computers to create and track shipments.

• Knowledge of Quality Assurance and visual inspection.

• Experience in warehouse operations.

• Familiarity with 8130 documentation.

• Experience in aerospace or aviation inspection.

• Ability to stand for over 4 hours per day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with SAP-based inventory/ERP systems.

Work Environment

This position is based in a casual dress code warehouse environment, with a schedule of 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday. The warehouse is insulated, quiet, very clean, and organized, reflecting the aerospace standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
