Job Title: Sanitation Worker - Graveyard Shift

Job Description

The position involves sanitizing equipment on the beverage side of the facility. Candidates must be able to read and write in English, handle chemicals, and operate floor cleaning equipment. The role includes some disassembly of equipment, unclamping, and other tasks primarily using scrub brushes and cleaning tools. Candidates must handle caustic chemicals carefully and follow standard operating procedures for chemical dilution. The job requires independent work during the night shift, with support available from the straw department staff. Proper documentation of cleaning tasks is required.

Responsibilities

  • Sanitize equipment on the beverage side of the facility.

  • Read and write in English for documentation purposes.

  • Handle and dilute chemicals following standard operating procedures.

  • Operate floor cleaning equipment.

  • Disassemble and unclamp equipment using scrub brushes and cleaning tools.

  • Handle caustic chemicals with care.

  • Work independently during the night shift.

  • Document cleaning tasks, including name, date, time, type of machine cleaned, and sign off upon completion.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in cleaning, sanitation, and food manufacturing.

  • Ability to handle and dilute chemicals safely.

  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English.

  • Experience in using floor cleaning equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in food production and janitorial services.

  • Ability to work independently.

Work Environment

The role requires wearing a smock, hairnet, long sleeve chemical-resistant gloves, boots, and a long rain-style rubber jacket. You will work independently during the night shift, with the straw department running simultaneously to provide assistance if needed. The position is based at the headquarters facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Kent, Washington.
