We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our service team! The primary objectives of the Service technician are (1) the proficient repair and service of the customer's equipment, (2) to maintain good communication and working relationships with customers, peers, and management, (3) to represent and sell the entire company, (4) Maintain and exceed productivity goals (5) work within all safety guidelines established by Raymond West and OSHA. Duties and Responsibilities: Primary duties and responsibilities will vary with the specific position. Typical and responsibilities are listed below. This list is not inclusive. Repair all types of equipment that Raymond West sells and services. Maintain a profitable billing level. Communicate with assigned Field Supervisor. Complete all paperwork transactions in a timely, neat, accurate and orderly fashion. Communicate all options to customers before proceeding with work. Have the necessary tools to perform repair and scheduled service work. Complete jobs within quoted time limits when applicable. Maintain a clean and orderly (inside and outside) vehicle. Maintain an accurate assigned parts inventory, if applicable. Maintain good working knowledge of customers and equipment in assigned areas. Maintain an acceptable driving record as established by the company's insurance carrier. Account for 100% of available time during working hours. Must follow safety procedures and use good judgment in regard to safety. Must be willing to work out of town as necessary. Establish a positive rapport with customers. Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by the Service Supervisors or Managers. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. Excellent Organizational Time Management skills Proficient in Microsoft office Suite and similar software Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. Must be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required. Ability to deal with customers on a face-to-face basis. Must have working knowledge of basic D.C. electricity, basic A.C. electricity, internal combustion, and diesel engines. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Must possess a valid driver's license with no more than the allowable level of points on record, if applicable. Maintain personally owned tools according to approved minimum tool list. Maintain additional tools as required by duties and certification level. Must have working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
