In support of Kent State University's vision and core values, the mission of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is to enhance the psychological health and development of Kent State University students. Through the provision of an array of culturally competent and evidence-based psychological services, consultation with faculty and staff, and programming, CAPS staff contribute to the attainment of student educational objectives, encourage student engagement in the university community, and support students' personal and professional success

BASIC FUNCTION:

As a culturally responsive member of a highly supportive and collaborative team, the mental health provider delivers quality direct clinical services, supervises CAPS trainees, and delivers outreach programming to the campus community. This position reports to the Director of CAPS.

Examples of Duties:

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:

Facilitate both face-to-face and telemental health services as indicated.

Participate in the provision of mental health triage services.

Conduct intake interviews, psycho-diagnostic assessment, case conceptualization, and treatment plan formulation.
