Medical AssistantJob DescriptionAdministrative Duties:
Scheduling Appointments: Managing patient appointments and ensuring the schedule runs smoothly.
Patient Records: Recording and updating patient medical histories and contact information.
Billing and Coding: Handling billing processes and coding for insurance purposes.
Communication: Answering phone calls and communicating with patients about their appointments and medical inquiries.
Clinical Duties:
Vital Signs: Measuring and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
Sample Collection: Drawing blood, collecting lab samples, and performing basic laboratory tests.
Patient Preparation: Preparing patients for examinations and assisting during minor procedures.
Medication Administration: Administering medications as directed by a physician.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using medical equipment and performing clinical procedures.
Detail-Oriented: Accuracy in recording patient information and handling administrative tasks.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact compassionately with patients who may be in pain or distress.
