Schedule:Tuesday-Saturday

The Role:
As a Lab Analyst I, you are a key member of a larger laboratory team. The Lab Analyst 1 is responsible for specimen accessioning, handling, processing, and helping prepare biological samples for testing in a clinic or laboratory setting. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and time management are very important for this role.
Role responsibilities include:
Receiving, unpackaging, and document specimen shipments
Inform Logistics of wrong routing, specimen issues, delayed samples
Document specimen pre-analytical errors and follow up with corrective action when necessary.
Organizing, racking, storage, and disposal of specimen following established procedures
Monitor ambient and equipment temperature.
Maintains patients' medical records and verifies accuracy.
Assists in ordering laboratory supplies and necessities to maintain appropriate level of inventory.
Complies with national PHI laws including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
Maintains continual sustained attendance.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements to be considered:
High School Diploma or GED
Previous laboratory experience is preferred
