Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Statutory Reporting Manager for a direct hire opportunity north of Atlanta, GA. This role is with a growing organization and if desired this role could lead to a leadership position in the future. In this role this Statutory Reporting Manager will be responsible for the complete process of the process within the statutory accounting principles. This includes reviewing and preparing statutory financial statements, completing adjustments, understanding GAAP to statutory and how it effects financials, coding segmentations, owning states checklists for premium tax returns, following NAIC standards, and facilitating audit inquires.

 Proficient utilization of in-house resources and applications including PeopleSoft, Statutory Reporting software, data warehouse, Microsoft Office and other applications for timely reporting requirements.

 Ensure accurate and timely reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements.

 Participate in the development and maintenance of reporting necessary to support statutory financial reporting and supplemental reporting.

 Preparation of key statutory exhibits while also providing guidance to staff for their completion of other exhibits.

 Compile and analyze financial information to prepare and post entries to general ledger accounts and to document business transactions.

 Facilitate external audit inquiries.

 Track reporting requirements and maintain consistent workflow metrics for purpose of streamlining.

 Complete special projects and other duties as needed.

 Research statutory blank changes and other reporting changes impacting statutory financial statement and supplemental reporting.

Skills and Requirements

GAAP and Statutory reporting / financial state preparation

 Strong understanding and involvement of statutory accounting principals

 5 years of experience in the industry

 Bachelors degree CPA null
