Senior Business Analyst - Marketing eCommerce

Job Description Summary

Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge of theories and principles and applies general knowledge of business and industry practices within business analysis. Working independently under minimal guidance, carries out a full range of professional duties and solves moderately complex problems. Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Prepares operations analyses including analysis of competitors, operational effectiveness, and capacity utilization and makes recommendations for improvement. Develops process analyses, end to end process mappings and identifies opportunities for improvement. May track, maintain and provide current information on business operations. May analyze or provide support on administrative financial support activities of a business division. Work may include preparing financial reports, budgets, and annual and long-term business plans. Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Leads team projects or project steps within a broader project or has accountability for ongoing activities or objectives. Uses advanced analytical, technical and problem solving skills to adapt policies and programs and develop models to support small projects or the team.

Job Details

As a Senior Business Analyst – Marketing eCommerce, you will report into the Associate Director, Marketing eCommerce and be a member of a diverse team that is accountable for managing the Digital Commerce Platform for Tax and Accounting Wolters Kluwer. In this role, you are responsible for supporting the Digital Commerce Platform production environment and other critical enhancements that drive eCommerce marketing revenue. You will be expected to collaborate with a diverse cross-functional team of Marketers, eCommerce, UX designers, system analyst, developers, QA resources and other business leaders who will all contribute to the fulfillment of major and operational eStore releases. You will also be responsible for managing communications with our internal stakeholders as production defects, enhancements and questions are raised. Additionally, you will lead the operational enablement of prioritized products that will be sold online to our customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Lead resolution of eCommerce related issues by partnering with business and technical stakeholders as needed

  • Work with product owner to define business and customer needs into a product intake form and requirements traceability document

  • Contribute to Marketing eStore product strategy and roadmap by helping identify the biggest problems to solve impacting the Digital Commerce Platform

  • Create clarity amongst ambiguity and complexity on assigned initiatives, enhancements and issues

  • Participate in lifecycle planning rituals to deliver against quarterly targets and the roadmape

  • Partner with UX and design team to keep eStore brand compliant and offer intuitive experiences that converts sales

  • Define, document and communicate eStore playbook for production operations

  • Data stewardship tasks to ensure alignment of platform with enterprise data management team

  • Creates, delivers, and maintains the following: Use cases, user stories, process workflows, screen and interface designs, mockups, functional / business requirements documentation, project plans, training documentation

Job Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s, Computer Science or equivalent degree or combination of education and experience.

  • Requires 6+ years of eCommerce or business operations experience with enterprise level solution in a marketing environment

  • 5+ years business / requirements analyst experience with exposure to varied projects and environments

  • 4+ years of product management preferred

  • 4+ years with Adobe Commerce or other enterprise eCommerce platform

  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Drive, passion, and initiative, with ability to adapt quickly to rapidly evolving products, technology, and situations are a must.
