DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Engine workshop Diesel Technician Level 2 to join our Distribution business in Kenner, Louisiana.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Apply documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.

• Disassemble, inspect, clean and reassemble engines and /or engine components.

• Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines.

• Assist more experienced technicians with diagnostics and development of repair plans engines in the workshop.

• Complete required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

• Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.

• Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation

• Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

• Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)

• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

• Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

• Some relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on an intermediate number of products in-scope for technician at this location; primarily engaged in moderately complex maintenance and repair; some exposure to moderate or complex diagnostics, requires limited direct supervision, may provide basic training or guidance to new technicians.

Working hours are 8am to 5pm Monday-Friday.

5000$ sign on bonus is eligible for this position

• A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire

• Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older

• A current valid license is required for this role

• Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience

• This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations

• This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This role will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
