Controls Engineer located near Kendallville, IN for a leading manufacturer for the automotive industry. This role is responsible to support production by troubleshooting and programming existing and new plant automation equipment.

Required qualifications:
A.S OR B.S. degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is ideal)
Must have experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs and Robots within a manufacturing environment (Automotive experience is ideal)
Understanding of Fanuc Robots and ABB robot operations
Experience with PLC systems, production robots, Servo systems, and SCADA systems
Preferred:
- Siemens S7 programming experience

responsibilities:
Conducts ground level programming, new machine installation, upgrades and troubleshooting for various programs, industrial robotics, and production systems
Support production by troubleshooting and programming existing and new plant automation equipment
Program and design new and existing PLC controls
Programming of robots and touching up points as needed to support production needs.
Create and correct plant electrical drawings for equipment.
Work with a variety of equipment and technical systems, including, but not limited to; PLC systems, production robots, Servo systems, and SCADA systems
