Controls Engineer located near Kendallville, IN for a leading manufacturer for the automotive industry. This role is responsible to support production by troubleshooting and programming existing and new plant automation equipment.

Required qualifications:

  • A.S OR B.S. degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is ideal)

  • Must have experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs and Robots within a manufacturing environment (Automotive experience is ideal)

  • Understanding of Fanuc Robots and ABB robot operations

  • Experience with PLC systems, production robots, Servo systems, and SCADA systems

Preferred:

  • Siemens S7 programming experience

responsibilities:

  • Conducts ground level programming, new machine installation, upgrades and troubleshooting for various programs, industrial robotics, and production systems

  • Support production by troubleshooting and programming existing and new plant automation equipment

  • Program and design new and existing PLC controls

  • Programming of robots and touching up points as needed to support production needs.

  • Create and correct plant electrical drawings for equipment.

  • Work with a variety of equipment and technical systems, including, but not limited to; PLC systems, production robots, Servo systems, and SCADA systems
