Following safe and proper procedures with minimal supervision while performing required predictive, preventative maintenance functions for the purpose of diagnosing causes of malfunctions, installations, and maintenance of complex systems. Utilizes sophisticated diagnostic tools such as data paq, thermography, vibration analysis, ultrasonic analysis, and lubrication analysis to indicate in advance the probability of equipment failure. May be required to perform all duties and responsibilities of an EMT B technician.

  1. Performs required building and electrical equipment and electronic functions including diagnosing causes of malfunctions, installation, and maintenance of sophisticated systems following safe and proper procedures with minimal supervision

  2. Receives and interprets verbal instructions, drawings and blueprints.

  3. Designs, builds, programs, diagnoses, and documents electronic control systems.

  4. Operates powered hand tools, welder, drill press, cutoff saw, band saw, and other maintenance machinery and tools. Also uses ammeter, oscilloscope, volt-ohm meter, printed circuit boards, and computers.

  5. Operates and maintains Infrared Camera, vibration monitor, and ultrasonic meter for determining fluid velocities to determining machinery condition.

  6. Completes paperwork as required, including Chase work orders, inspection reports, logs, etc.

  7. Determines and completes predictive maintenance inspection routes.

  8. Develops and maintains inspection database utilizing CMMS and reliability software.

  9. Develops and improves preventative and predictive work practices.

  10. Develops improvement projects and proactive tasks to increase equipment reliability.

  11. Provides reliability improvement plans on equipment cells.

  12. Provides equipment condition reports.

  13. Uses oil analysis reports to determine preventative maintenance measures.

  14. Analyzes machine capabilities and determines predictive and preventative measures to improve machine performance.

  15. May be called upon to perform duties and responsibilities of an EMT Technician.

  16. May be required to perform other duties within the maintenance department. May be called upon to work late evening, early morning, or other unscheduled hours to perform necessary emergency repairs.

  17. Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control.

Required: High school education with six or more years of industrial maintenance experience with certification in Level II Infrared Thermography and Level I Vibration.

Any deviations from the above requirements (e.g. substituting more work experience for required education) will be evaluated and approved by the Division Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Preferred: Associate’s degree in industrial technology with emphasis in industrial maintenance and three years electronics experience in an industrial setting.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must provide own hand tools. This position requires the individual to handle and transport machine parts or equipment weighing up to approximately seventy-five pounds.
