Provides technical support for controls systems design, specifications, programming, simulation and testing, and start up assistant. Performs analysis and support on an assigned project basis. Such projects include: improving operating performance through the development of new and revised production methods, new tooling, equipment selection, and implementation.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
May be called upon to perform duties and responsibilities of Electrical Mechanical Technician.
Following safe and proper procedures and with minimal supervision while performing required building and
electrical equipment and electronic functions including diagnosing causes of malfunctions, installation, and
maintenance of sophisticated systems.
Receives and interprets verbal instructions, drawings and blueprints.
Designs, builds, programs, diagnoses, and documents electronic control systems.
Operates welder, drill press, cutoff saw, band saw, and other maintenance machinery and tools. Also uses
ammeter, oscilloscope, volt-ohm meter, printed circuit boards, and computers.
Completes paperwork as required, including job cards, inspection reports, logs, etc.
May be required to perform other duties within the maintenance department. May be called upon to work late
evening, early morning, or other unscheduled hours to perform necessary emergency repairs.
Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control.
Is responsible for safety and quality of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.
Perform lead person responsibilities as designated.
Performs project work, design, specify and installation.
Develops safe work procedures.
Develops plant installation standards for production equipment.
Develops and improves preventative and predictive maintenance practices.
Train other maintenance personnel.
Develops, organizes, and implements maintenance projects.
Utilizes CMMS to increase department projects.
Work with engineering in project development and completion
