Cash-Wa Distributing Accounts Receivable Clerk in Kearney, Nebraska
Looking for an organized, detailed, confidential individual with basic accounting skills and excellent computer skills to oversee Accounts Receivable for a specified group of customer accounts. Will be the “go-to” person for the customers in regards to payment of their accounts.
Summary: Oversee a group of accounts, typically associated within a specified region, with responsibility for credit processing/requests and monitoring for late payments. Will be a resource for the Sales Representative and Customer regarding questions on the account.
Duties:
Receive and process customer applications for accounts and credit requests.
Complete required credit inquiries and due diligence for accounts requesting credit terms.
Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payment or other payment irregularities.
Communicate effectively with sales team members regarding account standing and possible payment issues.
Investigate and resolve payment questions from customers and sales team members.
Recommend accounts for collection actions to Credit Manager.
Maintain account aging reports according to department guidelines.
Experience & Qualifications:
6 months of Accounts Receivable and/or Collection experience preferred
Basic computer skills, including data entry, is required
Strong organizational skills required
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally via phone and email required
Attention to detail is essential
Demonstrated understanding and experience with maintaining sensitive information is essential
Ability to problem solve and make sound and rational decisions is essential.
Positive and empathetic mentality is helpful
