As a supervisor, this position is responsible for assisting with the day to day operations of the maintenance section. This includes managing personnel, planning/scheduling work assignments, equipment, materials, and maintaining inventory to name a few.Essential Duties:Assigns and oversees the work of section and contracted crews; ensures all projects follow established safety guidelinesAssists in budget preparation for the sectionAssists with planning, coordinating and implementing emergency response to inclement weather, accidents, and hazardousHandles public complaintsInspects road conditions, work-in-progress and work completed by the crews and contractorsMaintains records on materials, supplies and personnelResponsible for operations of section in absence of supervisorTrains employees on the use of equipment and proceduresPerforms other job responsibilities as assigned.
