D/B/A/ Academy Sports + Outdoors has an opening for a Performance Test Architect in Katy, Texas.Duties include:25% occasional travel to various unanticipated locations in the U.S.Develop and enhance enterprise Performance Testing framework.Single point of contact for all performance testing activities and direct report to Head of Testing Department.Experience with creating performance test strategy, test plans and execute performance and load testing activities for large-scale, enterprise-class applications. Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities as per ASO SQA testing standards and process.Should have an eye to assess Enterprise Architecture across multiple applications to address capacity constraints and improve performance.Establishing the performance baselines of the applications.Understanding of the application functionality and Non Functional requirements along with SLA's defined.Identifying the test scenario's to validate the performance of key business functions and certifying the NFR requirements.Identify the test environment, test data and access needs.Create performance test plans, baselines, execute planned tests.Analyze test results and call out any discrepancies against the SLA's.Publish performance analysis reports and conduct review sessions with all the stakeholders.Maintain flexible work schedules driven by test environment availability.Provide ad-hoc performance testing/load generation for support of development tasks.Instrumentation Design and Configuration.Transaction Profiling and Application Characterization.Conduct, when necessary, and review results of transaction profiling.Response Time Modeling, Design and Build Load Testing.Assist with Troubleshooting and System Tuning and Production Threshold Definition Speeds and Feeds Customization.Lead all performance test reviews and Review all performance test artifacts for comment and approval.Write and distribute risk assessment and Lead review of actual versus predicted performance.Educate teams on performance testing processes, methodology, performance and scalability and the science of testing.Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in information systems, computer science, engineering, or related field and 120 months of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Performance Test Architect or in a related occupation. 120 months of performance testing and work load modeling experience 120 months of experience with Testing Tools such as HP Load Runner, Performance Center, NeoLoad, JMeter, API (REST Web Services), Dynatrace, Splunk or similar performance testing tools 120 months of experience with Software Development Methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall or Iterative 60 months of experience in performance test planning, project management and coordination 60 months of experience in testing distributed applications, Commercial ERP systems like Oracle Retail, IBM Retail, or web application 60 months of experience with Java or VBscript scripting languages 60 months of experience with MySQL or Oracle databases 60 months of experience with API Testing and Tools such as Web Service, REST, SOAP or SOAPUI 60 months of experience with Networking and Protocols such as HTTP/S, PHP, SOAP/REST, GET and POST, JDBC, MOM via JMS, SMTP(S), POP3(S), IMAP(S), LDAP, or Java Objects 24 months of experience with Web and GUI Tools such as HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, or AJAX 24 months of experience with continuous integration tool Jenkins 24 months of experience with version control: Git and Bit BucketTo apply: Candidates must email their resume to recruiter@academy.com referencing job code 9133.
