Description We are offering a role in the telecom industry based in Houston, Texas. The role is an Accounts Receivable Clerk position, providing an opportunity to contribute to our team on a contract basis. This role involves maintaining and updating customer account portfolios, handling customer requests, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for entering customer payments and reconciling discrepancies on customer accounts

• Keep accurate notes on customer account status and handle customer requests proactively

• Work closely with sales and other departments to keep accurate notes on customer account status

• Handle high volumes of customer accounts, ensuring that each account is accurately maintained

• Perform collection procedures as outlined in standard operating procedures

• Follow up and review accounts for compliance with credit law and standard operating procedures

• Handle disputes on accounts and work with relevant departments to resolve them

• Maintain an Account Portfolio with accurate notes and terms for customers

• Ensure customer service is held to the highest standard, maintaining a good working relationship with outside and inside contacts

• Work under time pressure and maintain/produce accurate customer records. Requirements • Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable (AR) role

• Proficient in handling office functions and procedures

• Demonstrable knowledge of compliance regulations in finance

• Experience in managing cash activities and reviewing financial notes

• Ability to supervise teams effectively

• Proficiency in software 'About Time' for time management

• Experience in check processing and collection processes

• Understanding of credit systems and methods

• Ability to handle discrepancies and provide dispute resolution

• Solid research analysis skills

• Ability to manage customer accounts professionally

• Familiarity with standard operation procedures

• Willingness to work onsite as required

• Experience in using templates for various documents

• Proficient in cash applications related to accounts receivable

• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions

• Knowledge of sales and customer service practices

• Experience with video conferencing or related tools for communication

• Ability to resolve customer account disputes effectively
