POSITION SUMMARY

PrimeFlight Cargo is seeking a Scanning Lead to join our team!

As a Scanning Lead, you will help oversee our team of Scanning Agents to ensure we are providing prompt and efficient service to our clients. Among the many duties you will have include monitoring scanning department inventory to ensure that products are properly scanned, labeled, stored, and shipped in an accurate and efficient manner. The ideal candidate for this position is organized, reliable and detail oriented, and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Sheets and Google Docs.

Since the cargo business runs 24/7, weekend and night shifts are sometimes required for our team members.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates and oversees all scanning procedures

  • Sets goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with the company’s plans and vision

  • Ensures all freight is properly scanned to correct destination prior to departing

  • Stage & Scan freight to appropriate containers for other agents prior to build up

  • Scan/Sort mixed containers and identify appropriate destination cart

  • Performs various inventory counts and orders supplies and goods as needed

  • Maintains scanning equipment on a daily basis, ensuring equipment is serviced and cleaned when needed

  • Conducts required company audits and ensures continuity and compliance at all times

COMPENSATION

  • The pay rate listed on this post, is what the company reasonably expects to pay for this position. However, individual compensation may vary based on factors including qualifications, skills, competencies, education, and experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in operational planning and resource allocation preferred

  • Previous scanning experience preferred

  • Must successfully complete all training requirements and maintain certifications throughout employment

  • Must be able to read and interpret documents

  • Must be able to write reports and correspondence

  • High attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and Google Sheets and Docs is a must

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 75 pounds

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

  • Must be able to work in a high noise environment

  • Must be able to bend, lift, stretch and reach both below the waist and above the head
