Residential Nurse (Adult Services)

Independence, Missouri (Kansas City area)

  • Full-time (40 hours)

  • Part-time or PRN also available

  • $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a valuable and trusted source of knowledge for nursing and medical inquiries, providing expertise and support to collaborative teams.

  • Cultivate effective communication with clients, addressing their medication-related inquiries and needs. Follow established policies and procedures for medication refills, collaborating closely with providers as required.

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments following service line guidelines, demonstrating exceptional clinical proficiency. These assessments include vital initial admission assessments, post-restraint evaluations, AIMS, physical and mental health assessments, and psychiatric screenings.

  • Provide a streamlined client experience by efficiently navigating the check-in process, ensuring the accuracy of data and medical history updates. Assess the purpose of their visit, conduct essential preliminary procedures such as blood draws, urine samples, height and weight measurements, blood pressure and pulse readings, and temperature checks.

  • Prepare and administer medications using various routes, adhering to service line requirements. Provide supervision and oversight of medication administration when necessary.

  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, promoting impeccable client hygiene practices and maintaining the highest standards of facility health under the guidance of esteemed nursing leaders.

    Qualifications:

  • RN (Registered Nurse) license in Missouri

  • LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in Missouri

  • Current certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ First Aid and Medication Aid trainer.

  • Prior experience with adult and youth psychiatric nursing is preferred.
