Kelly is hiring a quality control technician for a major medical device producer in Kansas City, MO

This is a contract role with the chance to be hired on and comes with full benefits that include up to 3 weeks of PTO, paid holidays, health and life insurance.

Pay is $25/hr and hours are 1st shift; 6a-2:30p - Mon-Fri. May train 7a-3:30p for a few weeks. There is some OT which is mostly voluntary. There is a backlog of items so there is a need for OT.

You will be running quality checks on surgical kits; kits that include a bowl/basin, instruments, gowns, gloves, etc. You will be working in a clean room environment. STRICT DRESS CODE: Long pants, sleeved shirt (short or long sleeve), and closed toe shoes. NO MAKEUP OR JEWELRY is allowed. Must be able to be on your feet for the duration of the shift. Experience in a clean room or medical/pharmaceutical environment is a plus!

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain the Quality System document binder to ensure it is complete and current.

• Receive sterilization raw materials (bags, liquid Ethylene Oxide, biological indicators) and release to inventory or direct use if conforming to requirements. Notify plant manager of non-conforming conditions.

• Review temperature and humidity charts daily. Notify plant manager of non-conforming conditions. Change out charts at specified times.

• Review weekly cleaning records. Approve if complete and conforming to requirements.

• Review kit production work order records. Approve if complete and conforming to requirements.

• Put biological indicators on test, take off test, evaluate and record results.

• Review sterilization lot records. Approve if complete and conforming to requirements.

• Release finished product for distribution as appropriate. Exercise authority to withhold approval to release product pending quality issues.

• Assist in the investigation of non-conforming product and customer complaints.

• Assist with ensuring that all quality procedures are followed in the production of product.

• Assist Corporate Quality with quality issues at the facility level.
